One key visual element that we are going to use to link together our promotional video with the digipak and advertisement is a classic red party cup.
These red part cups have been used in popular culture for a long time and are a stamp of American culture. They are seen at parties in lots of movies and music videos and are a clear sign of a good party.
I feel that using red cups as our synergous motif will work well with our target audience; females aged 18-26 and will also bring in a wider audience of people who recognise the red cups as iconic (may even bring in a US audience).
Another reason to use these as synergy is that red is a colour that stands out; it will make our video, digipak and advertisements noticeable. Products need to be noticeable in order for a wider audience who are not familiar with an artist to become interested in their brand and products.
