At the end of my AS year, I did a music
video for Get Down With The Trumpets by Rizzle Kicks (video cannot be found). I
found it quite hard as it was my first time trying to make a music video, and I
had to learn new things like lip-syncing and basetrack editing. Also, I don't
think I learned enough, or learned things in enough detail to be able to apply
proper knowledge to my work. Last year, I used 2 basetracks in my work, and
during editing, used markers on the video and the song to be able to match them
up correctly.
I don't think that the video came out
very well, due to a lack of footage and not very much knowledge around how to
create a music video. This year however, I feel I have enough knowledge and
have gained enough skills to be able to create a good music video.
The digipak was very basic, and didn't
look at all professional. It also didn't connect with the music video; there
was no synergy involved. But again, I didn't have the skills or knowledge to be
able to create something brilliant. This year, I know I can definitely make
something much better; a synergous, professional looking, aesthetically
pleasing digipak that will go along with my music video.
Hi Cara
ReplyDeletesome good blogging so far! The blog about appeal of music video uses super gifs and sums up the whole idea perfectly. Don't neglect your progress and skills blogs - they are really important. And one of your targets should be to think about using a wider variety of technology.
catch up quick!
see you next week
