Analysis of digipaks

M.I.A's album 'Kala' relates to our artist very well. M.I.A has a very similar audience to what our artist has. The reason for this is that both artist's have a very similar dress sense and attitude about them. Therefore M.I.A's album clearly relates to our artist. This album artwork is a great example to represent the artist because it is colourful and shows lots of pattern. This links well with her videos such as 'Paper Planes' where her outfit it very colourful, edgy and shows a range of patterns - just like this digipak.

This digipak for artist Marina and The Diamonds relates to our genre of pop music. The reason it relates is because the artist is very similar to ours. Her music videos are very vibrant and colourful just like our artist's video. Also, the clothing Marin and The Diamonds wears is very trendy just like our artist which appeals to the same audience. I think it is important to have a close up of the artist's face on the front of the digipak for the genre of pop - just like this one. I aim to have a photo of our artist on the front cover of the digipak. This digipak stands out really well to a consumer by using a small colour pallet. The white font is bold and simple yet it stands out. The back of this digipak works well as the colours of the background photo matches the front cover photo. The font has been kept the same which is very important.
